In today’s fast-paced world, where stress and lifestylerelated health issues are prevalent, self-care has become increasingly important. It encompasses a wide range of activities and approaches, including physical, mental and emotional health practices that enable individuals to manage their own health more effectively. By incorporating self-care into daily routines, people can foster resilience, enhance their quality of life and promote long-term wellness. One of the most fundamental aspects of self-care is physical health management. This includes exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, staying hydrated and sleeping well. Engaging in physical activity, such as walking, jogging, or practicing yoga, not only helps to maintain a healthy weight but also releases endorphins, which are natural mood lifters. As recommended by health organizations, aim for at least 150 minutes of vigorous physical activity per week. Complementing physical activity with a nutritious diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats is important for providing the body with the necessary nutrients to function optimally. Hydration is equally important drinking adequate water supports digestion, energy levels and overall health.
